KDH Visitor Restrictions

From Tuesday 20 October 2020, visiting hours within the main hospital will be from 5pm to 8pm daily for essential visits only, by ONE person at a time for no more than TWO hours. 

When entering the hospital, you will have your temperature checked and be screened and asked to provide contact details.  You will also be required to sign in and sign out. 

Exceptions include - 

  • 1 carer/support person with a UCC patient

  • 1 carer/support person with a Theatre patient

  • Where the patient is under 18 years old - 1 visitor, once per day, for a maximum of 2 hours, or up to two parents, carers or guardians, with no time limits (includes UCC, Inpatient Unit, Theatre)

Maternity Patients

In-line with guidelines from the Department of Health and Human Services, women giving birth at KDH can have ONE support person with them during birth (there are no time restrictions relating to a patient's partner/support person whilst in birth suite). Once transferred to the ward, standard visitor restrictions apply. Visitors to the maternity ward will be restricted to ONE visitor, once per day for a maximum of TWO hours. Aged Care

Visitors that are the resident's parent, guardian, partner, carer or support person, can visit once per day for a maximum of TWO hours, with no more than ONE visitor per day.  Visiting hours -  Caladenia  3pm - 5pm ONLY Dianella -  2pm - 4pm ONLY Outpatients Building -

  • Anyone presenting to the Outpatients Building will be required to sign in upon arrival and will be provided with a mask.

  • 1 carer/support person only for people attending for outpatients appointments.
