Meet our Consumers

Helen Clancy

Helen is a Consumer Representative for Kilmore District Health (KDH). Helen is a member of the Community Advisory Subcommittee and the Consumer Experience Action Group.


Helen joined KDH as a Consumer Representative in December 2014.


As a Registered Nurse and Midwife Helen's training and nursing experiences involved working in Melbourne Public Hospitals, followed by over twenty years in Rural Health.

Helen is a member of the Assumption College Advisory Council and a long-standing volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Helen is also a member of the Kilmore Tennis Club and the Kilmore Golf Club, actively participating in both sports.


Helen is a keen gardener and enjoys spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Deb Davis

Deb has been volunteering at Kilmore District Health since 2016. She was involved in the establishment of the Knowing How We’re Going Boards in 2017. Deb is a member of the Community Advisory Subcommittee and Consumer Experience Action Group.

 

Deb has worked for a number of large legal firms in support roles. Her longest employment was with our national science organisation CSIRO as Executive Assistant to Special Counsel and later as a Paralegal.

 

Deb has also been involved with many other community organisations as a volunteer with Riding for the Disabled; Publicity Secretary and Area Monitor for Safety House; Basketball Club Committee Secretary, Team Manager, Fundraising & Sponsorship Co‑ordinator and Junior Coach; Preston Parents & Citizens Youth Club Member and Junior Instructor, Committee Secretary and Club Fundraising for the RCH Good Friday Appeal.

 

Deb believes volunteering is a wonderful way of connecting with our community and is honoured to assist vulnerable community members. She is also passionate about being a community representative voice advising on the services and care KDH provides. Deb's interest in the consumer aspect of health was due to 4 spinal surgeries and rehab as well as having two daughters who worked as a Paramedic and Midwife.

 

Deb has 3 amazing daughters and 5 adorable grandchildren. She also enjoys theatre, movies, music, reading and travel.

Gwenda Phillips

Gwenda is a Consumer Representative for Kilmore District Health (KDH). Gwenda is a member of the Community Advisory Subcommittee and the Diversity, Inclusion and Health Literacy Action Group.

Ros Stewart

Ros joined Kilmore District Health as a volunteer in 2018. Ros is currently a member of the Community Advisory Subcommittee and the Diversity, Inclusion and Health Literacy Action Group.

 

Ros has a strong connection to the local community and is involved with Mitchell Suicide Prevention Network, Rotary EClub 9790, Broadford Cemetery Trust, Broadford Community Garden, Broadford Living & Learning Centre Advisory Committee and Broadford Uniting Church.

 

Ros was an Accredited Home/ACF Medicine Review Pharmacist for 23 years and received Victorian Pharmacist Medal in 2019. Ros is currently undertaking a Diploma of Counselling.

 

Ros enjoys spending quality time with her Mum who is a resident at Caladenia Nursing Home, playing with her dog Violet and gardening.
