Bowel Cancer claims the lives of 5,354 Australians every year, including 290 people under the age of 50.
99% of bowel cancer cases can be treated successfully if found early. Fewer than 50% are detected early.
54% of people diagnosed with bowel cancer are male. 46% of people diagnosed with bowel cancer are female.
Bowel Cancer is the deadliest cancer for young people aged 25-44 years.
